Marilyn Writes

Hi there, I'm Marilyn and I'm a writer who also thinks and talks a lot about animals and nature. So far I've mostly written stage plays and web content, but also comics, poetry, and short stories. I'm currently working on my first nonfiction book for kids, which will help them help wildlife and is scheduled for publication in 2028.

Once a month I send out updates on my writing projects, along with thoughts on what I've been reading, watching, or doing that might be of interest. I have future plans to start hosting some in-person and/or online events and creating humane education resources for parents and teachers, so you'll get updates on that as well.

A Note on Privacy

When you subscribe to most newsletters, the sender can see which emails you did or didn't open and which links you clicked on. I chose this email newsletter provider (Mailcoach) because they have that kind of tracking turned off by default. Plus, they're based in Belgium and GDPR compliant, which is a much better data protection law than we have here in Canada. So if you subscribe, I won't be snooping around in your email reading habits; I just send it out and you do you.

Also, this newsletter uses double opt-in, so remember to check your inbox (or spam folder) to click the link and confirm your subscription.
